ABOUT US
West Side Lumber was established in 1954 by Jerome Nixa, who supplied building materials and services. In 1981, his son, Jack Nixa, took over the business. By 1988, West Side Lumber became a franchisee of Ace Hardware, a decision that has significantly contributed to our company’s success. Joining the Ace Hardware franchise allowed us to better serve and meet customer needs with a wider range of products and services. In December 2023, the business transitioned to the third generation of the Nixa family, John Nixa.
In April 2024, West Side Lumber celebrated 70 years of business, spanning from 1954 to 2024. We take pride in being heavily involved in the Macomb community and having a reputation for unmatched service and product knowledge.
